Summer music

I often play piano
on a summer afternoon.
The drowsy bluebells hum along
to my drifting tune.
The tansy in the hedgerow
sings the theme from Blue Lagoon,
and the meadowsweet keeps perfect time
by swaying up and doon.
(The meadowsweet is Scottish, see?
so hence the variant spelling)
All afternoon the carefree tune
of summer music swelling.
