Autumn poem

See how the motley autumn leaves
bedeck the verdant lawn.
I’d be better off with tarmac,
now I’m living on my own.

No one comes to see me,
no one my pain relieves.
All I have is 4-volume
Illustrated History of Football,
introduced by Pele,
and those bloody autumn leaves.
