Child of nature

In quest of blue campanula,
I strolled to cell block C,
till a heavy rubber truncheon
brought me to my knees.

Fireworks flashed, cymbals crashed,
all reason was suspended,
as this poor child of nature
fell to the floor upended.

Blinding pain assailed my brain
I lost all human powers.
I wonder if it’s worth it,
the things I do for flowers.
